LeBron James Finalizes Deal on Beverly Hills Mansion for $36.8M

While the deal was reported back in July, the Los Angeles Lakers star finally finalized the deal on Wednesday, according to the Los Angeles Times. The home was built in the 1930s, owned by actor Charles Boyer, before it was acquired by Howard Hughes in a deal to buy out Boyer’s contract with RKO Pictures

While Hughes never actually lived in the home, he leased it to actress Katharine Hepburn, who lived there during the prime of her career.

The home was purchased by The Young And the Restless creators William Brent Bell and Lee Phillip Bell for $2.9 million in 1986.

William Brent Bell passed away in 1995, with Lee Phillip Bell living in the home until she passed away in March.

The compound includes multiple buildings and sits on a massive 2.5 acres of land.

James also owns two separate mansions in L.A.’s Brentwood neighborhood.

The first was scooped up for $21 million in 2015 and has remained vacant for most of the time since. The second estate, LeBron’s current main residence, was purchased for $23 million in 2017.

LeBron has quite an impressive real estate portfolio. His NBA Finals record, not quite as impressive, but that’ll probably improve soon enough.
