Lamar Jackson’s Mother Acting as His Agent During Ravens Contract Extension Negotiations

Lamar Jackson’s Mother is his new agent, and as we all know, Mother knows best. The Ravens superstar Quarterback is working on extension with the Baltimore Ravens without an agent according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport. Speaking to the Pat McAfee Show this week, Rapoport explained the franchise quarterback is negotiating his next deal with his mother.

“Agents a lot of times sort of act as the buffer for teams to players,” Rapoport said. “So if you’re really pissed off about some counter-offer, you scream at the agent and talk about why you’re going to put him out of business or whatever you want to say and the player generally has no idea and the relationship is good. It is a little different with Lamar Jackson because it is his mom acting as his business partner.”

Felicia Jones, who is Jackson’s Mother, has served as her son’s business manager since announcing he would turn pro at the end of his 2017 season with the Cardinals.
