Kyrie Irving is going to be back on an NBA court for the Brooklyn Nets this coming season. Everywhere Kyrie plays, drama seems to follow. His splits with the Cavs and Celtics didn’t exactly win him any more fans. Now he’s back to his old tricks, causing more unnecessary drama. Kyrie was supposed to talk to the media today, instead he issued a statement about letting his play do the talking.

“I am committed to show up to work everyday, ready to have fun, compete, performance and win championships alongside my teammates and colleagues in the Nets organization. My goal this season is to let my work on and off the court speak for itself. Life hit differently this year and it requires us, it requires me, to move differently. So, this is the beginning of that change,” Kyrie Irving’s statement read in full.

What Kyrie Irving did with his statement is reportedly against NBA policy:
You may or may not care about this. However, it is in clear violation league rules. https://t.co/LAcrZUxUog

Just another example of why Kyrie Irving is a problem wherever he plays in the NBA. If he would just do his job, rather than be so aloof, he’d have far less problems to deal with. The Brooklyn Nets would probably appreciate that.
Seems like he creates most of his own problems. We’ll see if his play actually does the talking, or will more injuries get in the way of that too?
