Kris Bryant Speaks On A Potential Return To The Chicago Cubs

According to a report, the New York Mets are looking at making a run at Kris Bryant when free agency begins this offseason

The Kris Bryant return to Wrigley Field last weekend went about as good as the former MVP could have expected.

Bryant was receiving loud ovations over the course of the series, was given a pregame ceremony, and perhaps best of all, won all three games.

During his time in Chicago, Kris Bryant sat down with the Barstool Chicago team to reminisce about his successful tenure with the team.

Of course, Bryant was asked if would ever consider returning to the Chicago Cubs. Even after being criticized by Chicago media for leaving a reported extension on the table, and widely assumed that he had no intention of staying in Chicago, Bryant said he would be more than open to a return.

This week, Kris Bryant was able to celebrate with his new team–the Giants–as they became the first team in the MLB to clinch a spot in the postseason.

Bryant has fully embraced the ‘grind it out’ type of mentality in The Bay, and would likely be interested in signing there long term, as well.

It still feels like a long shot for Kris Bryant to return to the Cubs when he hits the open market in free agency. But maybe someday he’ll make a triumphant return to the North Side of Chicago. Cubs fans can dream, at least.
