It was recently announced that Kobe Bryant would no longer be affiliated with Nike after Vanessa Bryant didn’t agree to a new contract with the longtime partner.

Now, it’s starting to look like a new ‘Mamba’ company could be in the works. Kobe Bryant’s estate (which is ran by Vanessa Bryant) has filed trademarks for footwear and apparel.

Intellectual property attorney Josh Gerben says that a total of 32 different trademarks have been filed by the estate. Gerben would go on to say what this could mean.

“The filings would suggest Vanessa [Bryant] is building an IP portfolio for a new brand launch,” Gerben told CNBC.

It certainly looks like a new Kobe Bryant company could be in the works, and that Vanessa is starting to make moves. Stay tuned.
