Kevin Durant Wins Oscar for Executive Producing Short Film ‘Two Distant Strangers’

Prior to the 93rd Oscars that aired last night, there have only been two athletes who have won an Academy Award. Kobe Bryant and Matthew A.Cherry. Now you can add two more. Kevin Durant and Mike Conley Jr. won an Academy Award as executive producers for the short film “Two Distant Strangers” that is currently available on Netflix.

Kobe Bryant had been the first professional athlete to win an Academy Award which was for the Best Animated Short Film category for his production of “Dear Basketball.”
