Kevin De Bruyne and Manchester City had their incredible 21-game winning streak snapped last week when they lost 2-0 to rival Man United.
The scapegoat for the blues ended up being De Bruyne, who had a noticeably poor performance during the game. The normally-reliable midfielder was all out of sorts from the opening whistle of the derby.

To make matters worse for Kevin De Bruyne, Bruno Fernandez, his counterpart on Man U, completely outplayed him. It was Fernandez who found the back of the net following a Gabriel Jesus penalty, which allowed United to roll for the rest of the match.
De Bruyne’s performance drew the ire of fans everywhere, some of which took to social media to share their thoughts.

Luckily for Kevin De Bruyne, it looks like he’ll have the last laugh against Bruno Fernandez and Manchester United. Despite the loss, City is still in first place of the Premier League over Man U by nine points.
After the game, Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola gave all the credit to the Red Devils.
“It was a fantastic game. United make incredibly high pressing and they are so fast on the counter,” Guardiola said per Daily Star.
“We played good. Unfortunately we couldn’t be clinical up front, so we congratulate United.
Kevin De Bruyne is going to have to perform better than he did against Bruno Fernandez if he wants to get fans off his back in the coming games.
