Ken Griffey Jr. still hitting home runs in his bank account.
Despite being retired since 2010, Hall of Fame slugger Ken Griffey Jr. remains one of the highest-paid players on the Cincinnati Reds.
Griffey signed a nine-year, $112.5 million contract with the Reds shortly after he was traded from the Mariners and ultimately deferred half the money so he could collect payments from 2009 through 2024.

Sports anchor Richard Skinner pointed out that Griffey’s $3.6 million means Griffey is the sixth highest paid player on the Reds.
