Kelvin Benjamin Rumored To Have Been Cut By The Giants For Stealing Food From The Team’s Facility

Some reporters actually bought a seemingly stupid rumor that Kelvin Benjamin was cut from the New York Giants for stealing food from the team

Kenvin Benjamin had an uphill battle during training camp when trying to revive his career at tight end after it didn’t really work out at the receiver position.

It’s not a huge surprise that the Giants cut Benjamin on Wednesday, but the way the whole thing went down was rather bizarre.

Prior to the practice, Benjamin was seen by reporters walking off the field alone following a conversation with coach Joe Judge and general manager Dave Gettleman.

It appears that a troll account made up a story about Kelvin Benjamin stealing food from the team’s facility. And some reputable reporters actually ran with it.

I’m certainly not buying the story of Kelvin Benjamin taking a bunch of food home with him. But do with this what you will.

The Giants have a packed tight end room, and were just trying to give Benjamin a slight chance at rejuvenating his career.

It was always a long shot.
