Kansas City Chiefs Delete Insensitive Tweet About Rent Being Due

In the middle of pandemic that has forced millions of people out of work, there are certain things you shouldn’t joke about. With the hold on evictions due to expire, people will soon have to figure out how to pay overdue rent. Joking about rent being due is just not funny. The Kansas City Chiefs have learned this the hard way.  They recently deleted a tweet, that read:  “The landlord pulls up with these guys to collect rent….what do you do?”

The reigning Super bowl Champs haven’t made too many missteps in the past few years, but this was just a dumb tweet. I wonder if their Social Media manager got a nice talking to.

Rent humor doesn’t work in 2020.
