Julian Edelman was one of the biggest success stories we’ve seen in recent memory. The small receiver went from being a seventh round draft pick, to a Super Bowl MVP, and one of the greatest Patriots of all-time.
Edelman announced his retirement today, by saying, “I’ve told you all I’m going to keep going until the wheels come off.” Due to injuries, that has become a reality.
Edelman posted his retirement video while (fittingly) sitting in the middle of Gillette Stadium.

Helluva career. Caught more passes against the Jets than any other team — 79 catches for 855 yards and 4 TDs in 17 games. https://t.co/Zh9drBldM8

Perhaps when we look back on the Patriots dynasty, Julian Edelman will be near the top of the list of guys who we attribute their success to.
Very few times in sports do we see a match as perfect as Julian Edelman was with Bill Belichick and the New England Patriots. The dude was just an absolute grinder out there.
Julian Edelman can retire with no regrets, knowing that he left everything he had on the field every single damn snap. Congrats on retirement to a real legend.
