Sports World Reacts To Jon Gruden Resigning After More Disturbing Emails Were Revealed

Former Raiders coach Jon Gruden broke his silence to declare that "the truth will come out" from his email leak scandal that took his job

The Jon Gruden tenure with the Raiders is officially over.

When a 2011 email including a “racist trobe” about NFLPA executive director DeMaurice Smith surfaced, it appeared that Gruden would be slapped in the wrist by the NFL.

But after the league released more troubling emails that contained homophobic comments, misogynistic remarks, and rhetoric about the National Anthem protests, the NFL put the onus on the Raiders to fire Jon Gruden.

Only hours after the additional emails were revealed, Jon Gruden officially resigned as the head coach of the Raiders.

Shortly after the news was announced, social media was blowing up to bash Jon Gruden.

It’s unclear who Mark Davis and the Raiders’ brass will tab to replace Jon Gruden. But after a lifetime of football, it appears he will now be forced into retirement.
