JJ “I got to f*cking do this sh*t all over again with Stan” Redick Not Happy Playing for VanGundy Again

JJ Redick NBA star playing for Stan Van Gundy again with new Orleans Pelicans

New Orleans Pelicans guard JJ Redick is at the point of his career where he has decided “f*ck it”, I’m going to say whatever comes to mind. Redick was asked about how he feels having Stan Van Gundy back as his head coach for the 2021 NBA season and gave this hilarious response.

“How did I end up with this in year 15? I got to f*cking do this sh*t all over again with Stan,” Redick says.

JJ Redick played for Stan Van Gundy when he first busted into the NBA with the Orlando Magic. They had some nice runs with the Magic back then, but Van Gundy often butted heads with Dwight Howard, and Howard ended up winning the battle. Van Gundy was fired, but everything has come full circle for Van Gundy and JJ Redick.

Stan Van Gundy was there when Redick began his career, and he just might be there when he ends it.

To be honest, I don’t even really think Redick meant any harm to Van Gundy with these comments, and they probably have a fine relationship. However, Redick knows he’s in for it with Van Gundy’s hard-nosed mentality when it comes to defense and attention to detail.

We’ll see if Stan Van Gundy is the answer for the New Orleans Pelicans, who will look to build a winner around the newest NBA superstar, Zion Williamson. Who knows? Maybe JJ Redick and Van Gundy can get it right all these years later.
