Jason Kelce Trending For Putting Ben Simmons In A Bodybag Over How He’s handled The Philly Treatment

According to a report, the Philadelphia 76ers are still now here near a potential trade for star point guard Ben Simmons with the Trade Deadline looming

Ben Simmons is getting it from all angles right now, and Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce has become the latest to slam the point guard for how he’s handled this whole situation.

Simmons has showed up to the 76ers, but he’s yet to engage in any practice. And has made it clear that he’ll do absolutely nothing until he’s traded away from the team.

Like many athletes, Jason Kelce has taken issue with this approach. He specifically has a problem with how Simmons has dealt with the Philly faithful – who made it known they were not pleased with the lackluster performance Simmons put together during last year’s postseason.

Jason Kelce’s advice to Simmons on how to deal with that was simple: work harder.

“I tell guys, you write your own narrative. I don’t want to crush any other players, but what’s going on with the 76ers, Ben Simmons, stuff like that, all of that is because of a lack of accountability, a lack of owning up to mistakes and a lack of correcting things,” Kelce said. “If all that got corrected, if you’re fixing free throws, if you’re getting better as a player, none of this is happening. So everybody can bitch and complain about how tough this city is to play in. Just play better, man. This city will love you.”

Jason Kelce has been a workhorse for the Eagles for many years now. And was a pivotal piece of their Super Bowl team in 2017.

Obviously, he’s had an easier time with Philly fans than Ben Simmons, but I’m willing to bet that he’s not going to handle criticism in the same way, either.

The narrative around Ben Simmons right now is that he’s incredibly soft and not willing to put in the work to become a more productive player. And the worst part of the whole situation, is that he doesn’t appear to be too worried about changing that narrative.
