Former Detroit Tigers pitcher turned broadcaster Jack Morris is under fire on Tuesday night for making a seemingly insensitive joke centered around Angels superstar Shohei Ohtani.

When Shohei was coming to the plate, the Tigers play-by-play man asked, “now what do you do with Shohei Ohtani?”

Jack Morris responded in an Asian accent.

Shortly after the incident, fans were calling Jack Morris out on social media.

Jack Morris apologized later in the game.

Jack Morris is just the latest MLB broadcaster to say something that has put them under the microscope, and it’s truly a shame.

Morris is considered one of the greatest pitchers in Tigers franchise history, and he has now likely tarnished his legacy to make a completely stupid joke.

Hopefully we don’t see too many more instances where broadcasters are outed for saying something in the booth like Jack Morris.
