Jack Eichel is finally free!

After about two years of trade talks on and off, it was announced on Thursday morning that the Golden Knights were sending a haul over to Buffalo for his services.

Jack Eichel took to Twitter to share his excitement with the news.

Jack Eichel has kept his trade wishes mostly close to his chest. But after being somewhat vocal that he had enough of the BS in Buffalo this offseason, he had his captaincy stripped, which likely sped up the whole process.

Vegas had been a contender ever since their conception into the NHL three years ago, and perhaps Eichel is the perfect player to get them over the hump.

Eight games into the season, the Knights are a disappointing 4-5-0. But they’re hoping the acquisition of a player of Jack Eichel’s caliber will re-inforce the notion that they believe they’re Stanley Cup contenders this season.
