Buffalo Sabres star Jack Eichel has been rumored to want to be traded away from the team since the middle of last season, and it appears that he has finally given fans some confirmation.

Eichel started a Twitter account recently, but hasn’t been too active until today.

In a one-emoji tweet, Jack Eichel appears to show his disappointment with the way the offseason has gone for him thus far.

Shortly after the tweet, fans were blowing up Twitter, asking the Sabres to please free Jack Eichel from their disastrous organization.

During last season, Jack Eichel hinted that a trade request could be in his future. But also noted that he was going to continue to show up to try to help the team win hockey games.

“I think I’ve got a lot of thinking to do this offseason. There’s a lot that I’ll have to consider,” he said. “But for now, obviously, I’m here, I’m the captain of this hockey team. My goal is to be available and to try to help the guys in the room and help this organization win hockey games. And I’ll continue to do that as long as I’m here.”

The Buffalo Sabres are wasting one of the league’s top talents, and it’s time to let him move on. We all want to see Jack Eichel elsewhere next season.
