England kick-started their Euro 2020 journey with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Croatia on Sunday, and perhaps the locals are getting ahead of themselves far too early.

In front of a vociferous crowd of 21,000 at Wembley on Sunday afternoon, Raheem Sterling clipped home what turned out the winner, and soon social media was abuzz with the familiar trend.

England already thinks they’re winning this Euros. Hate to think they might not have well enough quality to do so. It’s just the first game after all. But England think they are winning it.
