Will The Baltimore Ravens Turn To Trace McSorley To Save Their Season?

Trace McSorley Debut in NFL week 13 for the Baltimore Ravens?

Former Penn State phenom Trace McSorley looks like he might get a shot at his NFL debut with the Baltimore Ravens next week. Lamar Jackson remains on the COVID-19 list, and Robert Griffin III went to the injured reserve list today, leaving young Trace McSorley as the last man on the Baltimore quarterback depth chart who can to save their season.

“I wish the best for Lamar and his health and he can get back as soon as he can,” McSorley said today via ESPN. “But [we are going to] prepare as we always have been and be ready for anything.”

Jackson could still be medically cleared to play on before their game on Tuesday, but John Harbaugh has not announced anything on the matter. The NFL has been pretty hush-hush when players have tested positive for COVID-19. That has been particularly true with Jackson. We just know nothing at this point.

What we do know is that Trace McSorley might actually get a chance to play for a playoff contending team, on its last leg. The only chance the Ravens will have to make the playoffs is via a wild card berth, as their loss to Pittsburgh on Wednesday killed any chance of a division crown.

Could Trace McSorley be the guy to save the Baltimore Ravens season? Probably not. But you never know, McSorley and Saquon Barkley were must watch television when they were together at Penn State, I’d love to see the kid succeed in the NFL

The Ravens take on the 3-8 Dallas Cowboys on Tuesday.
