Is Antoine Griezmann’s New Awful Hairstyle To Blame For Terrible Open Goal Miss?

Barcelona’s Antoine Griezmann went with a horrific new dreadlocks hairstyle to try to break him out of a recent slump. Suffice to say, it didn’t work. Check out Griezmann’s miss on a wide-open net during today’s game against Real Sociedad.

All Griezmann had to do was tap the ball into the net, and he somehow found a way to throw it back into the Sociedad goalie. I mean, goals don’t really come any easier than that, and Griezmann has to be losing sleep over that one.

Some people on Twitter are even questioning if Griezmann should be allowed to keep the braided hair look after missing such an easy goal.

Luckily for Griezmann and Barcelona, the miss didn’t come back to hurt them, as the team held on for the 2-1 win over Real Sociedad. However, Barcelona has been struggling lately, and Sociedad remains ahead of them in La Liga standings. It’s early in the season, but Barcelona currently ranks fifth.

If Barcelona’s win over Sociedad feels like a major achievement, it shows just how far the club has fallen from their peak as one of the top clubs in the world. Barcelona is going to need Antoine Griezmann to snap out of it. Maybe it’s time to change the hairstyle again.
