The Iowa Hawkeyes were disappointed when Illinois defeated them in the semi-final round of the Big Ten Tournament.

Iowa guard Jordan Bohannon took the rivalry a step further when he appeared to accuse Illinois of cheating in some way, shape, or form.

“Let’s see if that banner stays up if you guys do win. Good luck,” Bohannon wrote on Twitter following their loss to the fighting Illini.

Jordan Bohannon may be hinting that Illinois coach Brad Underwood has been paying his players. While Underwood has never officially been reprimanded, he has been accused of infractions when he was the head coach at Oklahoma State.

I kind of just think this is a bad look for Jordan Bohannon. His Iowa team looked like they were a real threat in the early going of the season, but have sputtered a bit down the stretch. The Hawkeyes lost to Brad Underwood and the Fighting Illini twice over the year, and will now be a #2 seed in the NCAA Tournament.

Meanwhile, the Illini are a #1 seed, and will play Drexel in the first round.

Unfortunately, Jordan Bohannon and the Iowa Hawkeyes will not draw Illinois in the tournament unless they meet in the championship game. What a story that would be.
