Indianapolis Colts Reportedly In Pursuit Of Carson Wentz

Carson Wentz leaving Philadelphia Eagles for Indianapolis Colts in NFL changing move?

You have to imagine Carson Wentz was jacked up when the Eagles fired Doug Pederson. Wentz was known to have a distaste for Pederson, who eventually benched the quarterback in favor of Jalen Hurts mid-season. Now that Pederson is no longer in the picture, Wentz will likely be back under center for the Eagles, right? Well, maybe not.

New coach Nick Sirianni has not named his starting quarterback, and teams around the league are starting to question whether or not Wentz is available on the busy trade market.

According to NFL reporter Evan Massey, the Indianapolis Colts are the front-runners to make a run at Carson Wentz.

#Colts maintain a high level of interest in trading for Carson Wentz if the #Eagles move him. Another name to keep an eye on, Jameis Winston. Indy is intrigued by him,” Massey wrote on his Twitter.

There’s clearly a correlation between Wentz and the Colts. Indy’s head coach Frank reich was Wentz’s offensive coordinator in 2017, when he was having his best season before going down with an injury.

If the Eagles are fine with moving forward with Jalen Hurts as their starting quarterback, I wouldn’t be surprised to see Carson Wentz end up with Reich and the Indianapolis Colts.
