Indiana Hoosiers fans had high hopes for their next head basketball coach. They dreamed of hiring the likes of Brad Stevens, Scott Drew, and Chris Beard. However, they’ll have to settle.

While Mike Woodson is an IU alumn, fans were still skeptical of the move.

The reaction the the Mike Woodson hire wasn’t all bad, but it definitely seems like he wasn’t Indiana’s first choice. There are a lot of red flags with the Woodson hire. He’s old, hasn’t coached in college, and din’t win very much when he was a head coach in the NBA.

With that being said, Woodson is very respected around the game of basketball, and the list of stars he has coached is very long.

Mike Woodson might not have been the most popular hire, but it could be a lot worse for the Hoosiers.
