Indiana Cheerleader Goes Viral For Retrieving Stuck Basketball During March Madness

There were few (if any) bright spots for the Indiana Hoosiers during their first round matchup against Saint Mary’s on Thursday afternoon.

But one moment that had nothing to do with basketball stood out to Hoosiers fans.

When a ball got stuck behind the backboard early in the second period of the game, refs and players were unable to get up there to retrieve it. But when the Indiana cheerleading team got on the floor, they were able to propell one cheerleader high enough to get the ball with ease.

The Indiana cheerleader who retrieved the ball was even able to get some air time, thanks in large part because the actual product on the floor was so boring.

During the game, the Indiana cheerleader was trending all over the web.

Unfortunately for this Indiana cheerleader, her run of fame will likely come to an end now that the Hoosiers have been bounced from the March Madness bracket.

But like the masses are calling for on Twitter, perhaps she’ll get a nod from college basketball if she’s involved in the ever-popular “One Shining Moment” montage at the end of the tournament.

Either way, you have to know your team wasn’t very impressive if the only highlight comes from a cheerleader…
