Incredible Final Lap At Abu Dhabi Grand Prix Decides F1 Championship

The F1 2021 Championship came down to the final lap at Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi today as Max  Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton were tied coming in to the day in points and were 1 -2 on the final lap.

The two drivers came in to the day tied for the F1 Driver Championships. Lewis Hamilton has 7 Driver Championships, including the last 4 years. Max Verstappen had yet to win a championship.

Verstappen took pole position on Saturday with Hamilton finishing in 2nd.

The two raced extremely hard all day which eventually set up for a final lap race off for the championship.

Here is how the excitement all unfolded.

Verstappen and Hamilton exchanged positions but eventually Max was able to cross the finish line first winning the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix and taking home the drivers championship along with it.

Team Mercedes was still able to take home the Constructors Cup with 613.5 points compared to Red Bull’s 585.5 points.
