Michigan Wolverines basketball star Hunter Dickinson knows that the school’s football team has taken a beating at the hands of rival Ohio State in recent years. But that won’t deter his confidence.

The Ohio State Buckeyes had their first game on Thursday night against Minnesota. And while they took home the win, people weren’t exactly impressed with the performance.

Of the people not amused with the Buckeyes’ 14-point win was Hunter Dickinson, who took to social media to share his thoughts on what will go down when Ohio State plays Michigan later in the year.

“Okay I’m going to say it… We’re beating Ohio State this year,” Dickinson tweeted out on Thursday night.

Ohio State fans were quick to jump into Hunter Dickinson’s comments to remind him of recent history.

In Basketball, Hunter Dickinson and the Wolverines got the last laugh against Ohio State, winning the Big Ten last season.

But since Jim Harbaugh took over the Michigan program in 2015, he has yet to beat Ohio State, leading many to believe that the decorated head coach is on the hot seat.

Michigan fans will hope that Hunter Dickinson is onto something about this year being different.
