How A Joey Galloway Jab Has Turned Into A Rallying Cry For The Northwestern Football Team

It’s not the Northwestern Wildcats anymore, it’s the “fightin’ Reece Davises”.

The hysterical moniker started after Tuesday night on ESPN’s College Football Playoff show, when Reece Davis asked Joey Galloway what he thought of the Northwestern Wildcats football team.

“Honestly, they’ve got a bunch of Rece Davises running around out there,” Galloway said via ESPN, taking a shot at his co-worker while also trashing Northwestern’s athletic ability.

The Wildcats had some fun with the Reece Davis comment all week during practice.

After the Wildcats upset Wisconsin over the weekend head coach Pat Fitzgerald told his team, “Cause I’m looking at a bunch of bad motherf***ing Reece Davises.”

Fitzgerald didn’t stop there, either. He threw some shade at Joey Galloway during his postgame presser, as well.

“How bout these fightin’ Reece Davises right her, huh Joey Galloway?” Fitzgerald says.

It seems like the rallying cry of “fightin’ Reece Davises” isn’t going anywhere for this Northwestern football team. They just might be on their way to a special season, too. After beating Wisconsin, the Wildcats remain undefeated, and have surged into the top 10 in national ranking, and are in first place in the Big Ten West. I think it’s safe to say that nobody had Northwestern as a contender to start the season

How bout those fightin’ Reece Davises?
