Houston Rockets guard Sterling Brown claims he was assaulted last night when the team arrived in Miami.

According to the team, Brown suffered facial injuries from the attack, and had no prior history with any of the assailants.

“Last night, Sterling Brown was the victim of an assault. He had no prior knowledge of or interaction with the assailants. He suffered facial lacerations but will make a full recovery. Sterling is not playing tonight because of his prior knee injury,” The Rockets said in a statement.

If Sterling Brown’s name sounds familiar in this context, that makes sense. Brown is the same guy who was unnecessarily manhandled and tased byMilwaukee police back in 2018. Brown sued, and eventually settled on $750,000 from the city of Milwaukee after the video from the interaction was released.

The Houston Rockets would go on to say that Sterling Brown is expected to make a full recovery. Hopefully there will be justice, and we see him back on the court very soon.
