Have you ever wondered how every umpire has the exact same movements, well it’s no surprise they have an intense military style training to thank.

A group of umpires were filmed as they went through drills in calling strikes and it is truly incredible to watch.

Who knows if this is standard of this was done just as a joke, but it certainly made a few people laugh. If this is truly their warm up or training then this is something we need to take a look at.

I never once thought about what it took or what went in to training baseball umpires, but this surely is not what I imagined.

The MLB is currently locked out as players and owners remain at an impasse. It is the first labor stoppage in the MLB since the players strike in 1994.
