Frank Vogel Speaks On All The LeBron James Rumors Swirling Over All-Star Break

Lakers coach Frank Vogel took the time to reflect on the plethora of LeBron James rumors and quotes that were circling the web during the All-Star break

Even with the Lakers looking like a mere shell of the team that won the NBA Championship two seasons ago, LeBron James still found a way to dominate headlines during the All-Star break.

Whether it was his comments about teaming up with his son Bronny, re-joining Cleveland, or all the buzz surrounding the reported rift between Klutch Sports and Lakers GM Rob Pelinka, LeBron was smack dab in the middle of the buzz all weekend long.

Instead of dwelling on all the LeBron James reports during his break, Lakers coach Frank Vogel admitted that he learned a long time ago not to pay any attention.

“I learned to let the noise be noise. … I enjoyed the break with my family. That’s just noise,” he said.

If LeBron James has it his way in LA, Frank Vogel and GM Rob Pelinka might be finishing their last half season with the Lakers. And at this point, Vogel sounds like he kind of knows it.

The Lakers currently sit at ninth place in the Western Conference, and even LeBron has made it clear that he doesn’t think the team can compete with the Bucks or other elite teams in the NBA.

“Do I think we can reach the level where Milwaukee is right now? No,” James said after a recent loss. “They’re the defending champions for a reason. I guarantee if you would have asked teams coming out of the bubble if they could get the to the level we were at when we won a championship, they would have said the same thing.”

We’ll see if Frank Vogel and LeBron James can somehow find a way to right the ship in LA during the second half of the season.
