Former college football coach Tommy Tuberville was just elected as a Senator in Alabama. His first order of business? Joining the absurd effort to keep Donald Trump in office. Tuberville joined in on representative Mo Brooks’ baseless challenge to electoral college results.

“You see what’s coming. You’ve been reading about it in the House. We’re going to have to do it in the Senate,” Tuberville said via Newsweek.

“We’re gonna get that all corrected,” Tuberville said referring to Biden’s Electoral College win over Trump. “Don’t give up.”

When asked how he plans on overturning the election, Tuberville responded by saying, “we’re going to fight it hard.”

Tommy Tuberville’s pledge to fight for Donald Trump comes even after senate majority leader Mitch McConnell finally recognized Joe Biden as president-elect and asked fellow Republican senators to cease their efforts. The freshman senator from Alabama missed the message.

Before trying his hand in politics, Tommy Tuberville was a longtime college football coach He served as the head coach for Ole Miss, Auburn, Texas Tech, and Cincinnati. Over his career, Tuberville had a 159-99 record.

The effort to overturn the legitimate election needs to stop, like it or not, Joe Biden will be our next president, but Tommy Tuberville appears willing to die on Conspiracy Theory Hill.
