Semi pro football is definitely not fully professional. The Owner/coach, player of a semi pro football team tried to rob money for his team. A man shot and killed a bank security guard in Indiana, walked away with $10,000 in order to pay off the bills of an amateur football team he owned and coached, the Chicago Sun-Times reported. Hailey Gist-Holden, owner/coach of the Illini Panthers allegedly ambushed First Midwest Bank guard Richard Castellana as he was walking on the sidewalk.

He allegedly shot him in the face in the June 11 incident in Gary, Indiana.

When the owner of the Illini Panthers was tracked down in Georgia, he offered to “work off” the charges by becoming an FBI informant, a 17-page affidavit states.
