The Florida-Tennessee rivalry is alive and well.

The Gators knocked off the sixth ranked Tennessee Volunteers today in dominant fashion. They didn’t just pull off the upset, they absolutely manhandled the Vols from the opening tip, winning 75-46. After the game, Florida’s social media team made sure to throw a dig at their opponent.

If you’re think, “how is that a troll job?” then you haven’t been paying attention to the news surrounding the shit show Tennessee football program. Earlier today, Dan Patrick reported that Tennessee was handing out McDonald’s bags filled with cash to their recruits.

Despite Jeremy Pruitt’s sad attempt to be subtle while breaking NCAA rules, he still went 16-19 during his three years as Vols head coach.

Look, I’m sure every team violates the recruiting rules and ends up paying their players. The difference between the good programs and the bad programs is that the good programs don’t get caught. Jeremy Pruitt got caught, which was fine because I’m sure Tennessee was looking for a reason to fire him anyways.

Needless to say Tennessee athletics doesn’t seem to have a whole lot going for them right now. We’ll see, maybe the next coach they bring in will be the right guy to turn their football program around. I doubt it, though.
