Fans Irate Following Devin Hester’s Hall Of Fame Snub

Fans flocked to social media to vent their frustration after GOAT return man Devin Hester wasn't elected to the Hall of Fame Thursday night

September 9, 2012: Chicago Bears wide receiver Devin Hester (23) in game action. The Chicago Bears defeated the Indianapolis Colts by the score of 41-21.

Devin Hester will likely be a Hall of Famer someday. But today wasn’t his day.

In the first ballot opportunity for the GOAT return man, Hester was left out of the 2022 Hall of Fame class.

Immediately, Bears and NFL fans swarmed social media to demand justice for Devin Hester.

Devin Hester is simply the greatest returner in the history of the NFL — which has got to mean something more when these Hall of Fame voters are filling out their ballots.

Not only are Hester’s 20 return touchdowns (kick returns, punt returns, missed field goals) an incredible record. But he completely changed the way we view return men forever.

It feels twisted that Devin Hester isn’t a first ballot Hall of Famer. But like I said, it’s not a matter of if but when he finally gets the call to Canton.
