Fans Are Pissed Off At Dan Orlovsky For Questioning Justin Fields’ Work Ethic

NFL Draft QB prospect Justin Fields impressed during his Pro Day at Ohio State this week.

The young quarterback figures to be one of the first quarterbacks taken in the upcoming draft, and many have him going to the San Francisco 49ers with the #3 pick. With that being said, every prospect has their critics, and that certainly includes Fields.

Former NFL quarterback Dan Orlovsky went on “The Pat McAfee Show” and revealed that he’s heard that Justin Field doesn’t have a very good work ethic.

“One, I have heard that he is a last-guy-in, first-guy-out type of quarterback. Like, not the maniacal work ethic. I’ve even heard it compared to Justin Herbert, where it was like, dude, when Justin Herbert showed up, he was like a psychopath when it came to working and get ready for the draft. Or even at school, like, “Give me more, I want to work non-stop.” And I’ve heard that there are issues with Justin Fields’ work ethic.

The second thing is … Where is his desire to go be a great quarterback? I think that there’s a desire to be a big-time athlete, from what is expressed to me, but where is his desire to be a great quarterback? And to be great, you gotta be willing to find the things that you are not good at and just freaking grind on them,” Orlovsky said on the show.

Twitter was blowing up, with many fans thinking Orlovsky’s take on Justin Fields was sloppy (at best).

Yeah, I think it’s safe to say that many people don’t want to hear more Dan Orlovsky takes on Justin Fields.

Honestly, I think this is a product of just how drawn out this whole draft process. Every single draft QB is over analyzed and put through the ringer way too much in the weeks and months leading up to the draft. The truth? Nobody really knows how any of these guys are going to pan out.

There’s no sense bashing someone’s work ethic…can we please just give Justin Fields a chance to prove himself?
