Fans Are Already Trashing Washington ‘Commanders’ New Name

The Washington Commanders are here to stay.

The team announced its new name early this morning along with a coinciding hype video showing off its new uniforms.

When they found out the name would be Commanders, they weren’t exactly here for it. And, well, that vibe hasn’t changed at all.

Fans aren’t exactly receiving this well.

See all the trashing below:

Of course now it seems the old name worked for some, but that wasn’t the case at first.

But some fans are just ready to get used to it.

Like anything else it will take some getting used to.

Winning cures all, so if they come out of the gate as a playoff contender, there’s no doubt the Commanders will be embraced.
