One of the biggest storylines of last year’s Super Bowl was when the tragic news came out that Britt Reid, son of Kansas City Chiefs’ head coach, Andy Reid, was involved in a car crash that left a 5-year-old girl hospitalized.

The girl remains hospitalized, and the family wants to know why Britt Reid has not been arrested, given that he admitted to police that he was under the influence of drugs and alcohol.

“Ariel remains in the hospital, she is getting a little better each day but she still has a long road to recovery. Britt Reid is out everyday living his normal life while she cannot, please don’t let her story be forgotten. Court will take a long time and we don’t know what will be the outcome of it all. So please keep sharing her story and praying for her and the family. Thank you,” was written on the girl’s GoFundMe page.

It is definitely a little bit sketchy that Britt Reid hasn’t been charged with anything yet. Maybe investigators are doing their due-diligence on the case, and that Britt Reid isn’t getting off because of his last name.

Hopefully he gets held accountable if it becomes clear that he was under the influence…what a truly awful story.
