ESPN Removing Co-host From ‘First Take’: Report

According to a report, Stephen A. Smith is going after Magic Johnson hard to be Max Kellerman's replacement as his co-host on "First Take"

14 June 2012: American sports reporter for ESPN Stephen A. Smith is seen prior to Game 2 - Heat at Thunder - of the 2012 NBA Finals, at the Chesapeake Energy Arena, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, USA.

Max Kellerman and Stephen A. Smith are no longer going to be a dynamic duo. Their time together is apparently coming to an end. ESPN is expected to remove Kellerman from “First Take” in the near future, according to Front Office Sports’ Michael McCarthy. Per Front Office Sports, Kellerman could also join ESPN’s morning radio show, “Keyshawn, JWill & Zubin.” Zubin Mehenti has missed significant time from the show this year due to health issues.

Stephen A. Smith will reportedly be on the show by himself with a bevy of guests in line to fake argue for the debate show.

ESPN declined to comment, and it’s unclear when such a move could officially happen.

Might be more interesting to see new faces go toe to toe with Stephen A.

But what the people really want is Skip Bayless and Stephen A. to get back together, which is never happening.

We all have dreams…
