Over the past couple of years, Arkansas head basketball coach Eric Musselman has emerged as one of the top up-and-coming coaches in the league.

After another successful season under their belt, Musselman’s Razorbacks came into the March madness tournament as a four seed. But standing in their way of reaching the round of 32 was Vermont — who has proven to shoot the lights out all season long.

With this being the case, Jay Bilas went against Eric Musselman and the Arkansas team for their tough first round matchup.

After the win on Thursday, Musselman made sure to troll Bilas on his pick.

After the game, Eric Musselman gave the utmost respect to the Vermont program.

“I kind of know what’s going to happen. We all do. We all know they’re going to be upsets. Watching those games earlier today didn’t really affect my mentality at all. Matter of fact, I used part of our pre-game, just talked about how much respect we had to have for Vermont. I don’t think nerves or angst needs to come into play. We pride ourselves on rebounding. We pride ourselves on defending people. I tell the guys, the last three days… Obviously when you’re a higher seed, especially I think in the first game, there is an added element to it for sure. Once you get to that first game, then it’s just playing.”

Next up for Eric Musselman and Arkansas will be New Mexico State on Saturday following their upset win over Uconn.
