Eric Bieniemy Reportedly Returning to Chiefs Sideline

Andy Reid Kansas City Chiefs Eric Bienemy

Kansas City Chiefs offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy is reportedly returning to the team.

Bieniemy’s contract ended after the 2021 season and he interviewed for several vacant head coaching jobs around the NFL.

His name appeared in a lawsuit filed by former Miami Dolphins head coach Brian Flores against the NFL for their process of hiring minority head coaches. He was also involved in a report which pointed to some beef with Patrick Mahomes.

Now it appears he’s heading back to the sidelines.

“Per source, the Chiefs anticipate Eric Bieniemy will return as their offensive coordinator. Contract isn’t signed yet, but belief is it will get done.”

Bieniemy has been the offensive coordinator for the Chiefs, helping the team to two consecutive Super Bowl appearance and winning the Lombardi Trophy in 2020.

Under Bieniemy, the Chiefs hosted four straight AFC Championships.

You can’t argue with that, might as well run it back with Bieniemy.
