Eric Bieniemy Reported Beef With Patrick Mahomes, Andy Reid Surfaces

According to a report, Chiefs OC Eric Bieniemy may take a coordinator job elsewhere with his contract with Kansas City set to expire

A bombshell report dropped on Wednesday night around Chiefs’ offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy.

The ‘Chiefs Kingdom Editorial Board’ which publishes on medium.com reports that there’s major beef and dysfunction among the Chiefs key offensive figures, most notably between Bieniemy and Patrick Mahomes.

Mahomes and Bieniemy reportedly do not get along and have butted heads dating back to the 2020 NFL Season. This Chiefs article claims several things including the fact that Bieniemy, not Andy Reid, has called plays since 2020.

The report states the animosity between the two men only continued to grow over the course of the season before coming to a head at the worst possible time in the AFC Championship.

Mahomes caught plenty of heat for attempting to call a timeout the Chiefs didn’t have at the end of the first half of their playoff game, but Bieniemy supposedly told him Kansas City still had one to use.

Bienemy’s name has come up a ton for Head coaching positions, but he still has yet to find a new gig. He is a free agent, so we’ll see.

It’s hard to believe he’ll be on the sidelines next year if this report has any truth to it.
