Eli Apple’s Mom Jumps Online To Defend Her Son From All The Super Bowl Criticism

After trolling Bengals corner Eli Apple over his Super Bowl performance, NFL reporter Annie Agar had to apologize for having some racist tweets on her account

Cincinnati Bengals corner Eli Apple was the butt of many jokes during and after Super Bowl 56 this past Sunday.

The veteran defensive back was cooked early and often by Rams receivers. And a critical pass interference resulted in the Rams getting an easy touchdown to Cooper Kupp for the game-winner. Of course, Apple was in coverage when Kupp made the winning grab, as well.

After being roasted all game, reporter Annie Agar posted a diss to Eli Apple on Monday.

Later in the week, Eli Apple’s mom, Annie, took to Twitter to defend her son and fire right back at Agar.

Well, at least Annie did her best to defend Eli Apple. But her comeback kinda fell flat.

The only way to the Apple family to shut up their critics and haters is to come back stronger when the NFL kicks off next season.

The Cincinnati Bengals have several holes on their roster. And a lot of them were masked by the proficient passing attack with Joe Burrow and Ja’Marr Chase. But going forward, we’ll see if the team decides to stick with Eli Apple as one of their top defensive backs following his dismal Super Bowl performance.
