Rush Limbaugh and Donovan McNabb will forever be linked. Political conservative gasbag Rush Limbaugh passed away today at the ripe old age of 70 today. He was not known as a sports guy, but there was a brief moment when ESPN thought it would be a good idea to hear his thoughts on football. They put Rush on Monday Night Football, and he proceeded to say the media was hyping up Donovan McNabb because they wanted to see a black quarterback succeed.
It was a short stint for Rush at the Mothership, he was done after four weeks.

Rush Limbaugh was not even a month into his tenure at ESPN when he couldn't resist the impulse to say racist shit about Donovan McNabb, who was 26 years old and asked for none of the ensuing firestorm. Limbaugh got fired and McNabb went to the Super Bowl. Fuck Rush Limbaugh pic.twitter.com/CbYiCDcWuH

@Strandjunker said it correctly: Rush Limbaugh deserves the same respect and humanity he showed to Chelsea Clinton, Michael J. Fox, Kurt Cobain, Barack Obama, RGB, Donovan McNabb, Sandra Fluke, rape victims, Iraq war veterans, refugees, and the victims of shootings.

Fun Fact
In 2003, ESPN put Rush Limbaugh on TV as an NFL commentator. He lasted four weeks, being fired after saying racist sh*t live on the air about Donovan McNabb.https://t.co/o9zJQ0210H— Rick G. Rosner (@dumbassgenius) February 17, 2021
Remember when rush Limbaugh called Donovan McNabb the n word on nfl countdown. He didn’t actually but more or less he did.

Off the top of my head, Doug Williams, Donovan McNabb, Cam Newton, Patrick Mahomes, and Russell Wilson have been in way more division championships, Pro Bowls, and Super Bowls than Rush Limbaugh, but okay…
They don't even let Colin Kaepernick play, and he's better than Rush. https://t.co/grgURkY8DN

I don't know who needs to hear this (I actually kinda do know) but Rush was EXACTLY right about Donovan Mcnabb.
