Doc Rivers Appears To Throw Shade At Paul George

Doc Rivers and Paul George are developing quite the feud. Rivers was asked about what went wrong with the Los Angeles Clippers last year, and he offered this response, talking about the new players.

Doc says that the Clippers didn’t ‘accept’ some of the new guys, but made sure to add that the team accepted Kawhi Leonard. It sure seems like he’s saying that Paul George’s teammates didn’t like him very much.

This comment comes after PG13 said that he didn’t like how he was used in Doc Rivers’ offense.

“The way I was being used, I felt Doc was trying to play me as a Ray Allen or a JJ Redick, all pin-downs. I can do it, but that ain’t my game. I need some flow, I need some mixes of some pick-and-rolls, post ups, diff. touches. Last season was hard,” George said about playing for Doc Rivers.

I guess Doc and Paul George won’t be exchanging Christmas gifts this year. Rivers is now the coach of the Sixers, while George’s new coach is former NBA champion Ty Lue. George signed a massive extension with the Los Angeles Clippers this week, so they’re hoping the Kawhi-Paul George tandem works out better this time around.
