Dez Bryant is ready to go head-to-head against his former team, the Dallas Cowboys, for the first time in his career.
“For the most part, it’s water under the bridge,” Bryant said to ESPN. “That’s two years. I had time to get myself together. You got to go forward with life because life isn’t going to wait on you. Time waits on no one. I had to get myself together and move forward.”
This follows a quote from Bryant two years ago where he claimed his release from the Cowboys was very personal.
Bryant recently signed with Baltimore and has suited up for three games. He led all Ravens’ wide receivers in yards with a four-catch, 28-yard game against Tennessee.
In 2018, he agreed to a one-year, $1.25 million deal with New Orleans. Unfortunately, two days after signing the contract he tore his Achilles in practice. He remained a free agent until Baltimore picked him up this season.
The former All-Pro receiver looks to provide a boost to Baltimore’s sluggish offense. Last year, Baltimore had the most total points and the second most offensive yards. This year, they have fallen to 15th in scoring and 23rd in yards.

Due to the offensive struggles, which came before the huge COVID-19 breakout that delayed their Thanksgiving divisional bout, their chemistry has been at odds. Dez Bryant had an illustrious tenure with Dallas over eight seasons. He was named to three Pro Bowls and one All-Pro First Team selection when he led the league in touchdowns.
We’ll see what damage he can do against the worst-ranked Dallas defense. Baltimore will take on Dallas Tuesday, Dec 8 at 5 p.m.
