Deshaun Watson Reported ‘Heating Up’ Trade Rumor Gets Shot Down

According to Houston attorney Tony Buzbee, the FBI has been checking in on the sexual assault allegations centered around Texans QB Deshaun Watson

Suddenly out of nowhere on Wednesday evening a report surfaced that a big trade was brewing. The alleged deal had the Houston Texans shipping their controversial Quarterback Deshaun Watson to the Eagles. According to the report, the trade was “heating up”

Now that report is being debunked. Pro Football Talk’s reported that there were no trade talks “heating up” between the Eagles and the Texans.

“Contrary to a report that trade talks between the Eagles and Texans regarding a potential Watson deal are “heating up,” a source with knowledge of the situation tells PFT that they are not,” Florio wrote.

“The problem at this point is the looming possibility of prosecution. As previously mentioned, Watson’s camp believes that the evidence against him inevitably will be presented to a grand jury. If he’s indicted on felony charges, the NFL undoubtedly will place him on paid leave until the case is resolved. Until then, it’s possible he’ll be convicted and then incarcerated.

“Teams have to wait to make sure jail isn’t a possibility,” one source explained.”

NFL insider Benjamin Allbright also shot down the rumor.

Watson probably won’t get traded anytime soon. No one is going to take a flyer on a guy with over 20 sexual misconduct civil suits filed against him.

Makes you wonder if Watson’s camp are dropping rumors to get the market interested in his services.
