Talks Reportedly ‘Heating Up’ Between Eagles And Texans On A Deshaun Watson Trade

According to a report, the Eagles are close to a deal with the Texans to acquire Deshaun Watson despite the lawsuits still going on

Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson might be the biggest storyline of the NFL offseason, and it appears as though he could be on the move soon.

The star QB has been in hot water all Summer after over 20 lawsuits were filed against him by massage therapists who have claimed sexual assault.

Prior to that, Watson had demanded to be traded from the Texans. After the allegations mounted, teams became reasonably wary about making a deal, and Watson is now forced to partake in Houston’s Training Camp despite no plans to actually suit up for the team on Sundays.

Now, it’s being reported that the Eagles are close to making a risky move for Deshaun Watson.

Would The Eagles Really Make The Deal For Deshaun Watson?

It’s unclear (and pretty unfathomable) that the Eagles will actually pull the trigger on a guy who carries so much baggage right now. But they might not be alone.

Earlier today it was reported that the Carolina Panthers were also keeping tabs on Deshaun Watson.

I still can’t wrap my head around a team giving up a huge haul for Deshaun Watson while he still has to go through the lawsuit process. But maybe the Eagles are willing to be that team.

So far, the plan for Philly is to give Jalen Hurts a shot to prove he’s the guy for their future.
