NFL Makes Decision On Deshaun Watson’s Availability For 2021-22 Season

A new report suggests when the probe into sexual assault against Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson will finish

Despite being in the middle of a legal battle after 20 massage therapists accused him of sexual assault, Deshaun Watson showed up to Training Camp for the Houston Texans this week.

Watson, while trying to play this year, has held firm since before the allegations that he would like to be traded away from the rebuilding Texans.

To this point, Houston still has a high price tag on their quarterback. And teams are wary of acquiring a player who’s being investigated for disturbing allegations.

While it’s still unclear if Deshaun Watson will play for the Texans (or anyone else) this year, the NFL announced on Tuesday that he’ll have ‘no restrictions’ placed on him as the investigation runs its course.

“As we continue to gather additional information and monitor law enforcement developments,” the NFL said in there statement, “we will make appropriate decisions consistent with the Collective Bargaining Agreement and the Personal Conduct Policy.”
The NFL added its probe into Watson is still “ongoing and active” meaning that Deshaun Watson could still be reprimanded by the league at any point this season.

I would be extremely surprised if a team gives up a haul on Deshaun Watson at this stage. Now, we’ll find out what Houston has planned for their quarterback situation in 2021.
