Demar Derozan Throws Shade At ESPN After Seeing His Player Ranking

San Antonio Spurs guard DeMar Derozan is going to have a chip on his shoulder after seeing where ESPN ranks him among current NBA players. ESPN released their player rankings ahead of the 2020-21 NBA season today. Derozan was ranked as the 82nd best player in the league. This is after Derozan was ranked 46th going into last season.

DeMar Derozan didn’t take too kindly to ESPN’s assessment of his game.

People on Twitter seemed to agree with DeMar Derozan that he deserves to be ranked higher than 82nd.

Last season, Derozan averaged 22.1 PPG, the year before he averaged 21.2. I know, points don’t tell the whole story of a player, but for Derozan to fall nearly 40 spots in ESPN’s ranking after proving that his skills really haven’t changed that much is pretty ridiculous.

DeMar Derozan and the San Antonio Spurs will look to build on their what they were able to get done last season. The Spurs did compete in NBA’s playoff bubble, but didn’t make it to the actual playoffs after the seeding round. DeMar Derozan was reportedly looking to be traded from the Spurs, but it looks like he’ll stay put, for now.

Prove ESPN wrong, DeMar Derozan.
