With news swirling about surrounding the potential of President Donald Trump suggesting he would ban the Chinese-developed viral video application, TikTok, which has been a widespread social phenomenon since its release (and particularly during the start of the COVID-19 pandemic).
In this Thursday’s Degen Bet Of The Day, we leave no stone unturned and pry deeper into the fold behind this front page headline:

Well, perhaps not that one per se (although it would make sense to several degrees), but behind the overall scenario I suppose …

Given that Trump is essentially giving TikTok a month to settle a deal with frontrunner Microsoft (or a next-in-line anticipatory buyer), the betting lines are barking, and there are a couple of available angles to play around with.
Being that Microsoft is the major lead-getter in this approaching deal, I doubt that Apple stands as much beyond being the other biggest corporation of namesake besides Microsoft who could technically be a feasible suitor. However, Apple has recently expressed that it’s not interested in the purchase. I would simply stay away here.

Latest News just dropped on US investors takeover bid to buy TikTok https://t.co/mdiny4XBUX

It appears that $50 billion is the suggested price floating around various news outlets and sources, and being the plus-money hog that I am, why not take the over $50 billion (+125) in case the negotiations get heated?
While it may seem like a foregone conclusion that Microsoft will save the spirits of American youth and a slew of newfound video artists, taking the No at +170 doesn’t seem as profitable as the final option of our list of endeavors, especially considering you (sadly) can’t parlay the two …
… and as much as I would love to be able to parlay the Yes (+200) and the No on the Microsoft purchase to be the ultimate plus-money buzz killer of social media daydreams, it’s not an option to be had. If you are to play this route, I would definitely take the more profitable Yes +200 instead of the previous No at +170.
However, I can’t see this app going away in this fashion with such a following and an attempt to cash in on the investment for years to come (if the buyer plays their cards right).
